Date :

From Friday 26 August to Sunday 28 August 2022.

Duration :

48 hours of fishing from Friday morning 12am to Sunday 12am.

FRIDAY

  • 6h : reception of the teams;
  • 6h30 : registration of the teams and verification of the permits;
  • 8h: drawing of lots;
  • 9h: access to the spots;
  • 12h: beginning of the competition;

SUNDAY

  • 12h: end of the competition;
  • 15h: final ranking and award ceremony.

Rules :

The fact of entering a competition implies the obligation on the part of every competitor to observe these rules in their entirety. Any infraction, fraud or attempted fraud will result in exclusion from the tournament without reimbursement.

!!! It’s a fishing tournament on the riverbank !!!

!!! The fishing spots are only accessible by boat. For teams without their own boat, a shuttle service will be offered between the outfitter and the fishing spots to go to the spots on Friday and return on Sunday !!!

  • Participation alone or in teams of 2 fishermen (update);
  • All persons wishing to participate are eligible. All persons wishing to participate are eligible. There is no minimum age requirement to participate but any minor must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) on the spot during the tournament and is under their responsibility (update);
  • The competition will take place regardless of the weather, but may be delayed or interrupted in case of storms, floods and/or if the safety of people is at risk. In this case, its duration will be limited according to the atmospheric events;
  • The control of fishing permits is required. It will be carried out before the draw by the designated person or his representative;
  • The control of the equipment, baits and baits is the responsibility of the stewards;
  • Boat fishermen and boaters have priority in the use of the water. In all cases, courtesy and mutual respect are required;
  • Each spot will be provided with a dock and a field delimited by ribbons;
  • Your fishing spot extends up to 150 feet on each side of the box (from the ribbons);
  • The permanent presence of an angler in the box is required. In the case that the teammate is alone and in difficulty with a fish, another competitor of the tournament can give help to net the fish (priority is the preservation of the health of the fish);
  • 2 rods in fishing action per team are allowed;
  • Landing mat (a yoga mat is correct for beginner) and a large pike trap are required;
  • Provide at least 2 slings (here is an example) per team to keep the fish while waiting for the stewards,
  • 1 hook per line;
  • All the fishes will be put back in the water after the weighing by the stewards;
  • Only common and mirror carp (cyprinus carpio) will be counted;
  • For the sake of fairness between all competitors, it is FORBIDDEN to use boat for baiting, putting down the lines and fighting the fishes. The teams having their own boat will only be allowed to use it to go to the spot on Friday and to come back on Sunday;
  • The organization declines any responsibility in case of loss and/or theft;
  • Ranking determined by the cumulative weight of the 4 biggest carps caught by team (in case of equality it is the team with the biggest fish that will decide between the competitors, if still equality, it will be the cumulative weight of the 2 biggest fish, and so on);
  • This tournament being in the form of wild camping, you must provide what it takes to bury your needs.
  • A garbage bag will be distributed by team. Concerning the sorting, a container is available near the reception (an inspection of the spots after the departure of the teams will be made and the teams having left the dirty or degraded spots expose themselves to sanctions during the handing-over of the prices);
  • Provide waters, thigh boots or boots (the spots may require walking in the water and / or in the mud);
  • Marker alone with a lead is prohibited ;
  • The abuse of alcohol by an angler or a guest will result in the automatic disqualification of the pair without refund;
  • The abuse of any substance by an angler or a guest leading to inappropriate behavior for a fishing tournament will result in the automatic disqualification of the pair without refund;
  • We ask you to show a maximum of respect for the fish and for the fishing grounds. Any non-conforming behavior during the event will be directly sanctioned by a warning, a reprimand or even the exclusion of the team;
  • Barbecue on foot authorized;
  • Visitors are not accepted;
  • All participants in this event agree to the use of their image rights and the use of their personal data;
  • Any team that does not comply with the original registration form will be disqualified without refund;
  • You leave the spot with your garbage, several garbage cans are present at the reception;
  • One weighing on Friday afternoon, one on Saturday at noon and the second and last one at 10am on Sunday morning (can be modify).

List of necessary equipment for any non-initiated :

For all those who are not initiated to this type of fishing and who wish to participate in this tournament, here is the minimum equipment required so as not to be caught off-guard:

  • A tent for shelter in case of bad weather;
  • Something to sleep on and keep warm (ground sheet, inflatable mattress or a folding camping bed). ATTENTION: the ground is not flat and smooth as in a camping;
  • One fishing rod per person, medium/heavy type, like for catfish or sturgeon;
  • The use of an air rig is strongly recommended but not required. For air rig for beginner, you have three options: either buy silicon hair on which you thread the corn with a needle (“needle” or “stringer”), buy air rigs already mounted or for the most experienced a mounting type hair (see photo below), which here is a tutorial to make;
  • Weight sling required (conservation bag to keep the fish alive in the water during the weighing);
  • A landing mat is required to avoid hurting the fish when you put it on the ground (a yoga mat is enough);
  • A landing net big enough to hold a carp.
